Overview
joinaven.ai is an informational website for Aven, an app in development. We don't use advertising pixels or advertising cookies, we don't sell your data, and we only use analytics if you agree.
What happens when you visit
- Hosting: our website host, GoDaddy, adds a performance-monitoring script that measures how quickly pages load. It may send technical information about your visit, such as your browser, device and IP address, to GoDaddy. GoDaddy's own privacy policy applies to that data.
- Fonts: our typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads. Google's privacy policy applies.
- Analytics, only with your OK: if you tap "Accept" on our site notice, we use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website, for example which pages are visited and how many people sign up. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga) and receives your IP address, which Google uses to estimate a general location. We've turned off Google Signals and ad personalisation, and we don't use this data for advertising. If you tap "Decline", Google Analytics doesn't load at all.
- Your choice is remembered: we save your notice choice in your browser's local storage so the notice doesn't keep appearing. It contains no personal information. You can change your mind any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the homepage, or clear it in your browser settings.
Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through our forms:
- Early access: your email address, and your name if you give it.
- Contributing: your name, your email address, how you'd like to help, and any note you write.
- Investing: your name, your email address, your firm and usual investment stage if you give them, and any note you write.
We also record the date and time of your submission and which form you used. The short personality quiz on our homepage runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent or saved.
How we use your information
We use it to tell you when early access opens, to share Aven updates and launch news, and to reply to people who'd like to contribute or invest. We only email you about Aven.
How it's stored
Submissions are processed by Google Apps Script and stored in a Google Sheet that only the Aven team can access. Google's own policies apply to that processing. We don't sell, rent or share your personal information for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as you stay subscribed to updates, or until you ask us to delete them.
Who Aven is for
Aven is for adults aged 18 and over. This website isn't directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you think a minor has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in it, or by writing to us.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. We'll honour those requests.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
